Postby papaballoon » Thu Nov 19, 2015 18:14 18

Im going to purchase an 05 men with the intention of swapping my 250 morph engine into the maj and the 400 maj into the morph.
Comments? Ideas? Should I or shouldn't I.

Good question. The point is that i think the morphous is a great highway bike. Very stable. But could use more power. The maj is taller abs has a shorter wheel base. Making it better around town. But at this point it isnt a big deal. Im just thinking

I think it is a great idea. Who cares about the amount of work. It is fun work. Unless of course you are on a schedule then it is like work. The 400cc makes the Morph a very nice machine to ride. Now to put the 250 back in the Majesty to me is a waste.

No. Wastful would be to let the maj sit. It's no more work than putting the 400 into the morph. And the maj is a fine bike. I'm buying it anyway.
I like both. I have gotten a couple of test rides on a maj. One on the one I'm buying and another. Nice. I prefer the morph. Worst case. I will ride the maj and the morph. Trading off and such but with the idea of eventually swapping the maj engine in when the 250 goes. Unless I get the bug to do a custom and all. Im thinking. That hurts! Poor brain!

I think it's a great idea...lots of work, but a great idea. The Morph has already been done, and it seems pretty straight forward. The Majesty with a 250 should turn out better than the factory one. It will have more room and a longer wheelbase the factory offering. If you do it make sure to document it for us!

I did it.
Its ALMOST an exact swap

I still have the wrecked Majesty. I bolted the 250 in so that I can move it around, but my plan is to get it running as a skelly.
Majesty has a great looking alloy frame/backbone.

I pulled the trigger on the maj. ..now I'm stuck. No changing the engines. The character would change. So nope!
Might do a restoration tho!

Ive got one of each. 2005 Majesty and 2008 Morphous. Both are great scoots! But i like the looks of the Morph better. The wife likes the low seat of the Morphous. Where we live, the roads are hilly and curvy. The Majesty is fine on either but the Morph struggles to get going up the hills and accelerating from the corners(my wife does not seem to mind, but i feel it would be perfect with more power). Im ok riding at the Morphous speed most of the time, but as you know, there is always that guy going his own pace on a 2 lane road with like 10 cars behind him. I dont want me or the wife to be that guy!!

The basic engines are almost exactly the same, with the only the bores being different. Remove the head and jug, swap them out, along with the piston and throttle body, and the Morph will instantly have the extra power you're looking for without doing the complete swap.
