Luggage for around town

Postby QueenBee » Wed May 30, 2018 12:03 12

Here's my first attempt at luggage for the Majesty. I used a Givi rack, an inexpensive 30L top case from eBay, and the tail bag off of the XT250, which needed a few strap mods.

As an important side note - a 30L top case will in fact house a 12 pack of Session lager.

I attempted to attach an image - hope it comes thru. If not, the tail bag is mounted on the passenger seat and it worked out pretty well.

I made my own rack and added a large Whitney top case. I added a three strings of red LEDs under the red plastic lens-which was supposed to be a reflector, I think. One string is wired to the running lights and the other two only come on with the brakes. They work really well. I located a set of used Nelson Rigg expandable saddlebags for under $50. They are easily put on and off and carry a ton of stuff. When I can get the picture out of my phone and onto the computer, I'll post.

Be careful with saddlebags. They WILL damage the paint & need to be well clear of the muffler. It can also be quite a problem finding a way to tie them down.
I've come to prefer the top bag on the seat.
