Rosie just had her 7th birthday this past Thursday the 14th, and she has about 21,500 miles on her. The total distance traveled is greater, but that was on the back of a tow truck when she was having one of her TMF episodes.
Changed the belt at 16k and could have gone to 20k. The rollers in her were still "round" and with "no" measureable difference in size from the new ones I installed at that time. I still have them for back up if I need them, and haven't gone to Dr. Pulleys.
Bought it a month ago with 23,900 and it now has 25,300.
I use it for everything - I've even taken my car off the road so I can stop paying insurance and for gas on it, thus saving $150+ per month. Where I live you can ride all year, and my girlfriend has a car in case I ever really need one.
It's hard to imagine a better city do everything vehicle. It's a hoot slicing through urban traffic and blasting by cars on the freeway at 90 mph all while bringing back 5 bags of groceries. Or racing sport bikes through on ramp clovers.
I'll be doing the 40k service soon, complete with Dr. Pulley replacements.
Just finished breaking-in 2009 TMax - 624 miles ( I bought it three weeks ago with 279 miles on odometer).
Yes, I know it is May 2017
Sorry for being so slow - its a blue one
I don't know why you people even bother to have scooters if you ride so little. I just finally got rid of my 2005 Majesty with a little over 100,000 miles. It would have been more but I also had a 750 Virago & then a Harley Sportster at the same time. I am now without a ride for almost the first time since 1954 although I did just buy a new electric bicycle.
Not everyone lives in the shit hole of California. Some of us have winter weather to deal with, live close to work, and generally not need to drive a million miles a year.
Currently just shy of 28,000. It hardly looks like a scooter ATM, as it's apart for a fuel pump assy replacement and the dreaded valve clearance check and other routine maintenance.
I ride my 86cc two-stroke scooter more than the TMAX. I love the TMAX, when I'm not working on it... but the 2T accelerates faster and does power wheelies. I'd probably ride my TMAX a lot too if a Harley was my other ride.
45,500 miles on odometer, still runs like new, no oil burning, good and reliable 👌
