Was I in an accident?
No, thank God.
Did I drop the bike?
No.
What happened, you asked?
I had the bike parked in the parking lot, sidestand down, PARKING BRAKE ENGAGED and someone must have backed up into her, causing two cracks on the front fender.
Rode right to the dealer to order a new front fender $40.00, with a 7-10 day wait time for the part to arrive.
Point of the story?
Keep your parking break engaged. If I did not, the bike would have tipped over and ended up a lot worse.
Oh well, I almost made a year of ownership without any damage
. I should count my blessings though, as this is VERY minor compared to an accident. It just burns me up that the bike was there, parked legally, minding its own business...
Anybody out there change a fender? Thanks.
God Bless.
