Check engine light

It's all in the Shop manual pdf you said previously that you downloaded. Not trying to be a jerk, everything you'll ever need can be found in the shop manual-not the owners manual.

I just looked at the manual.
I could find no mention of the check engine light.
If there is, would you please tell me what page it is on.

Start on section 1-4. Then do a search for "diagnostic codes"using the search function on this site (or google how to read Yamaha diagnostic codes). To just clear the code, disconnect the battery for a few minutes then reconnect it. That will clear the code, but it might come back on. Also, loosen your gas cap. Sometimes if the cap isn't venting properly, it can cause the engine light to come on.
