Craziest thing I've done this week,
I got up this morning to find some snow dust on the ground when I
went outside to warm up the truck to go to work. Well turns out I
didn't have the keys (don't ask me why). LOL
Soooo, my Majesty was sitting there (kinda looking at me). I didn't
have a choice as I HAD to get to work. So I bundled up in 2 pairs
of pants, 1 pair of lined chaps, two shirt, two coats, helmet, and
winter riding gloves.
Naturally, she fired right up and the adventure began.
Getting out of the driveway was a little slick but not to bad. I
rode no faster than 30mph all the way to work. Thank goodness that
the cages around me gave me a wide birth and stayed about 2 car
lengths behind me. I was so GRATEFUL for this as I wasn't afraid of
falling I was AFRAID of being ran over.
I only slipped once as the road was not level but I didn't fall. I
moved over to the inside of the lane and all was well again.
Upon getting to work my heart was racing faster than usual but I
guess that is to be expected when one rides in the snow!! It
bothered me to no end that my baby was going to have to sit outside
with rain and more snow yuck continuing throughout the day.
Fortunately I arrived at work early enough that no one else was
here. As any good mother would do, I rode my baby in through the
side door of a 6 story building, past the elevators and into the
back door of my office. <grin>
So there she sits as I write this tale. <smile> She is warm and dry
and waiting patiently for me to finish my day. Of course I'm going
to have to wait until about 5:30 to sneak her out as these doctors
and lawyers who share the building would not appreciate a motorcycle
beging pushed thru the foyer.
Not to mention my boss, but he never goes to the back of the office
anyway, it is just a storage area. Of course today would probably
be the day that he goes back there, I'm hoping this is not the case.
This is my story and I'm sticking to it.
