I wouldn't buy one. I used to sell boats, and we loved to sell those things. Pure profit for the dealer. Take the money you were going to spend and put in the bank.
I too purchased the extended warranty from Yamaha. I usualy do not, but since the Majesty was a relatively new model in the US, I chose to get it. I think I paid about $400 for it as well.glennd said:This time I did. It's pretty rare that I do, but since I'm planing to run 35k miles per year, thought it'd be a good idea. Think it was $440. Didn't like that it doesn't cover wear items including piston¿? Fully agree with it not covering brakes, tires, normal preventative maintenance, etc... but hope it covers me wearing it out, cause it'll happen. On my cars I generally run 300k and then trade 'em in. Have not had to do a mechanical repair on the last 3! although the 1 of 'em I got tired of and sold at 233,000 miles.
