Alot of you probably know me from the Burgman site too!!! Just wanted to introduce myself to all the new comers!!

I'm Kim, live in Sacramento CA. I've been riding mc's for about 6 to 8 years give or take!! Can't really remember exactly how long! I've rode several different types of bikes and currently I have a 2000 HD sportster and a 2005 Yamaha Majesty!

I can tell you that I love my Maj.!! I've ridden it longer into the winter then any other bike! It's just so much fun to ride!! I can't wait till spring!!

I have about 8 more miles to go and I will have to do the 600 mile service! I went and bought the filter and the oil today!! So now I just have to go ride some more, then next week some time I can do the service. I decided to do the service myself because the dealer wants $200. or more to do it!!! I bought the service for 60 bucks and will be doing all the work myself.(Well with the help of my husband!!!)

Well that's all for now, I'm getting to chatty!! :D

Welcome along to the new site and congrats on your Majesty! Isn't it nice to live in an area where you can ride all year 'round?
Just think, soon you'll be doing your own service and not even asking your husband for help. The YP400 service manual is well worth the money (if you don't have one yet). It shows all the hidden screws, etc. and is easy to follow. It even shows the order to remove the tupperware for repairs.
Let us know how the oil change & service goes.
I will do that!! Yes, I have the service manual. I just noticed that in my first post the word "manual" didn't make it into the post!!!

I have already read part of it. Mainly to find out how to do the oil change! I will continue to read it for more info. You never know what might come in handy out there on the road!!!

Welcome to the forum. I used to live in Penn Valley just up the road from you. I worked at Beale AFB from 95-97. Beautiful riding country.

Might you be motivated enough to take some pictures and write up a little "How to:" of your maintenance? No biggie if you dont. If you need a gallery account, let me know.
Congrats. You got the best color available as well. Had to order my manual. Should have it within a week, meanwhile mine's parked near 600 after riding it to work several times...
I will try to take some pictures!! I'm not sure when I'll be doing though!!!

It's getting frosty here so I wont be riding to work now! I will try to get a couple rides in here and there in the afternoons!!

Kim,

Maybe I'll see you riding. I commute from Laguna to SoSac everyday its not raining. I guess I got acclimated to cold when I rode my Kymco People 150 to and from work. (Much less wind protection). I just bought my Majesty used with 4400 miles (3rd owner) chosen for its speed and range and being that it was used it was too good a value to pass up. This is just after I bought my wife a brand new Burgman 400. I tend to only see Vespas and 50cc Ruckus' here in the south county (ayk, it's flatter than Sac). I look forward to spotting you some day.

I usually ride to work on nice days!! I go down Howe Ave. to and from work. I don't do much freeway riding!! But you never now, our paths might cross one day!!!! :D

My husband doesn't have a scooter yet so I don't do much riding on the weekends or pleasure riding in the evenings. Once we can afford to buy him one I plan on doing more pleasure riding!!!

Kim
I just googled trying to find a link for the shop manual for the Majesty 400 and I couldn't find one. Where did you get your manuals from the dealer??

Thanks.

Mine came with my Majesty!! Yes, from the dealer! I mean my owners manual! I had to buy the service manual!

Edit! For those of you that already saw this post before I edited it, I took the picture out because it was for a different post. I was not in the right spot and didn't notice till now!!!!
