I bought a 2005 majesty 400 that was not treated very well, as a matter of fact. It was in terrible condition.
The big problem I'm having now is the NO KEYS, BUSTED KEY SWITCH. !!
I'm a newbie to this scooter .
I'm a retired fabricator, body paint, mechanic, and general master of most thing that's done with your hands.
Good thing my hands know what their doing because my brain is not sure of much anything...lol
I say, the reason I'm here is I'm not all there.
Anyway, enough about me.
Let's get to my problem....on the scooter not me
I replaced the key switch with a generic switch.
I now have cranking, fuel pressure, but NO FIRE.
I've tested the coil using three different meters using the specs in the service manual
And it tested within specs, even purchased a good used one and it tested within specs just like the original one.
Test for power to the coil as well. It's there.
But no spark, no fire.
Anybody have any ideas?????
I've read about the immobilizer but don't know if it has one. How do I know????
If it does have one where is it located and can it be bypassed or hacked?????

HELP!!!
THANKS

Hello and welcome!

If the coil works, then high voltage current should be traveling down the spark plug wire to the plug. If you get no spark while the plug is removed from the cylinder and grounded, then I would suspect either the plug or plug wire to be the problem. Assuming, of course, that the coil produces the necessary thousands of volts.

Reading in my 2006 owner's manual - There is an immobilizer on my Majesty that was far above the norm for 2006. No correct key or ignition = no start.
It states if lost a completely new security system needs to be purchased. I even states something down the lines that the keys are chipped.

Mine which is 2006 states clearly that if the "Red decoder key" is lost an ECU and a new ignition system need to be purchased - OUCH. I have the two OEM keys but not the Red key. I hope that never comes back to bite me.

I just experienced a no spark situation in my Morphous w/ the 400 swapped in. I tried three different coils, before testing them. Like yours, mine all tested in spec. Turned out to be a bad Plug. Bought a new one, installed it, and the bike ran.

Well I found the immobilizer on my 2005 majesty 400
Mine has it but mine doesn't have any of the original keys. There were no keys when I bought this as a fixer.
Before I had known about this stupid anti theft device I had to replace the key switch. I used a generic switch. Now after finally figuring this out the immobilizer is keeping this from running. Everything else is working but I CAN NOT AFFORD TO REPLACE THE IMMOBILIZER AND SWITCH WITH NEW CHIP KEYS. Does any one know how to bypass this immobilizer?
Or is there a aftermarket ignition system that I could use on this 400?
Anyone, anyone?
Thanks

My 05 Majesty does not have any sort of immobilizer. I have used regular keys cut at a hardware store.
I also took a look at both the owner's manual and factory 05-07 Service Manual and see no mention of any immobilizer though I didn't check every page, just the electronic parts locations and wiring diagram.

There is however a Lean angle cut-off switch which most likely cuts ignition and or injector pulse.

You mention that you check for power at the coil, are you getting the pulse signal to the coil during cranking? The ECU provides the driver to the coil via the ground.
