NYC Motorcycle Show-Fell in Love with a Pearl White Burgman!

I want one! There is something about that pearl white color that does it for me. I may be looking to trade "Madge"! I sat on it at the show for several minutes (sat on a lot of other bikes). I moved it back and forth, tilted it side to side and even put her on the center stand! The extra weight (dry weight) didn't seem to bother me. Am I ready to move up? I have a little more than 2500 miles on "Madge". What do you guys think? I was really looking forward to seeing the Executive model. I didn't like the dark grey color. I would use the extra money saved on the AN 650 to buy a Clearview Screen and Corbin seat.

I spoke to the wife and told her this is what I wanted. She liked it a lot as well. I must confess, money being no object, I would get the Yamaha FJR 1300 thumb shifting bike. That bike made my mouth water!!! The Burgman is more real world for me. Let's see what happens. Maybe I'll keep "Madge" for another season, maybe not...decisions, decisions.....

I'm in the same boat Willy. I stopped at a Suzuki dealership the other day to look for something, and saw a 2005 Execuative Burgman on the showroom floor. I really like that bike. I especially liked the wider fairings and running boards over those on my Majesty.

I won't trade mine though. I've only got about 3000 miles on it and really don't dislike the Majesty, I just liked the Burgman. If I had seen one of those before I got the Majesty, I might have gone Suzuki.

 I sat on that same bike also. And the FJR 1300. Are you stalking me?

You already took a big depreciation hit on the 05 Majesty. You might as well keep riding it a couple more seasons. Especially if it does work for your kind of riding.

I was there too. First time sitting on a Burgman 650, and boy I see what the fuss is about. Too much money for me, though.

Dosen't 40mpg take some of the fun out of it?
I thought I'd heard that the Burg 650 gets better mileage than the Swing.
I, too, sat on a 650 Executive at our local bike show and was mighty impressed. So roomy and comfortable...argh, think about baseball, think about baseball...
I wouldnt buy any Burgman right now. Have you guys looked into the service intervals of Burgmans 400 and 650. The valve check intervals and time spent taking off plastic is just too much. I thought one of the perks of having a scooter was ease of use and mainteanance.

If I were you I would wait till Suzuki can get the mainteance similar to Yamaha and Honda scooters.
Yes, I agree with calgary2800.

I had Suzuki Burgman 400 (2005), and according to the manual, it requires checking valve clearance for almost every time you do oil change. And checking it by yourself is almost impossible for tech-dummy like me, and costs a lot to pay for service guys.

But I believe Burgman 650 requires less valve clearance, similar to Yamaha Majesty.

My new SW seems to be pretty much similar to Yamaya Mayesty for maintenance intervals.

I bought SW over Burgman 650 because the seat height is higher on Burgman 650.
