How do you get the sideview mirrors off? The nut at the base will not turn? I want to get at the bolt underneath to see which size RAM mount to buy, they make a 9 mm and a 11 mm. This will be a good site to mount a GPS unit.

Hmm... mine were loose when I picked mine up. I had to tighten them once I got home. I just used an adjustable wrench as I don't have a metric set of wrenches yet.

I have not checked my scooter but I know Yamaha likes to use left handed threads. So you will have to turn the nut the other way.

One is left handed & the other is right handed. I don't know if they did this for meanness or to keep the mirrors tight.

They do so if you bump them the loosen instead of breaking off. It works sometimes.
