Why are all the photos of the v-belt I see double sided?

I see no purpose in having teeth on both sides.
There is nothing touching or driving on the outside of the v-belt.

My belt recently broke. I cleaned the remnants out of the bike. It showed no evidence of being double sided.

Mine is not double sided either - the outside is smooth. I doubt the actual part will be doublesided, maybe it's a generic picture?

I don't think it's generic photo.
I've seen YouTube videos with the
double sided belt.
None of the teeth on either side help drive the belt.
The only other thing I can think of is it provides a cooling effect.

However, if the double sided belt isn't necessary? This opens up a lot of other possibilities.

I would just buy the yamaha belt and call it good, they last so long you'll probably never replace it again. I have had so many bad experiences with non-OEM parts, if you value your time and sanity just spend the $ for the exact same thing it rolled off the factory with.

That is my intention.
I also want to replace the rollers.
Does anything else need to be replaced with the rollers? (Parts associated with the rollers)
