on my new majesty... when I stop and kill the engine, but before I turn the key to OFF... there is a loud whirring sound, like someone is running a vaccum cleaner... is this normal? What is it? Some kind of fan??

It sounds like your starter is not disengaging - my scooter does not make that sound but I've had several others that do. The starter is connected to a starter one-way assy and it's dragging . My advice is get it check out if it's under warranty. Rob

Or it could be the cooling fan kicking in, that sound would come from the front just behind the front tire and is normal to hear it . Rob

if you have been riding in hotter weather, and riding at slower speeds, the fan will come on. it stays on even after the engine is stoped. it will run untill the temp comes back down.

if you are not certain that the fan is the noise, put your hands (very carefully) under the scooter close to the ground just behind the front wheel, you should feel the hot air being pulled through the radiator.

I am being a GOOD BOY here! If you knew me from before, I would have went on a tear about the comment.

But to answer your question, I can't have but 2 beers a day now with the medication I take. So, it was my twisted humor and not alcohol coming out in that post....
