I am a long time rider,48 years. I have several cycles and a Yamaha Morphus scooter. I want to get a bigger, more powerful , scooter. I am looking at a new 2009 Tmax leftover at a local dealer, price 6700. , no miles, the Tmax looks like a great scooter. I am concerned about the seat height, I do not have long legs and the Tmax is high. I have read all the posts on this topic and see a few solutions, a new seat or cut one down. I think a shorter rear shock(or adjustable) would bring it down also. How much can the seat be cut down. Any new thoughts on this problem. thanks Jim

A new seat may be the better option.
A new "lowered" mono shock would be pricey.
I think Honda's new scoot has a 30" seat height.

The SHAD seat is narrower than the OEM seat up front, so you are a bit less "bow legged" and have more foot on the ground.
Also like See-me said, the Tmax is very easy to keep balanced with one leg.
You just have to find by trial and "error" where the "point of no return" is. :shock: :roll: :lol:
And how to clear the "tip over" code out of the diagnostics. :wink:
