Hi all
I need help or opinions on my Majesty 400; this afternoon after work I went to start it, but there was no power, ie dead battery. I think I may have accidentally left it in "park" mode, or left the seat ajar. This is one of the scooters that *doesn't* have a kick start. After i while i realised the internal seat light was dimly lit, and when I turned the key, there was a little bit of light behind the dash, but nothing else powered.
A call to my dealer and he said that I should be able to jump start it. I also did some quick forum reads and found some that had done it. A relative came and picked me up and off I went to get some jumper leads.
Got back, finally got access to the battery; at that stage still had a little dim light. Connected up to the bike and the car, positive first then negative. We left his car off, tried the Majesty. Nothing. Turned his car on, tried the Majesty. Nothing. Disconnected and reconnected a few times, nothing. I was a little concerned that my brother in law was putting on and taking off the connectors in the "wrong" order; I'm not sure if that will fry anything. What was more concerning for worst-case-scenario Me is that now there was NO dim light under the seat.
A work colleague tried to take it on his trailer, didn't fit, also tried to jump start again just from the battery. Nothing. So i removed the battery, left the bike in a relatively secure location and am home now.
I don't have a battery charger except for a multi-purpose hobby one that does lead acid (PB). I might try that, but I was gonna go to my dealer and get another battery in the morning. Failing that, has anyone got any suggestions or has it happened? The bike has done 23,000km; I think it's the original battery, plus it's not the first time I've left it on park accidentally.

P.S. To anyone else on here from Oz, my heartfelt sorrow and hope of resurrection to the victims of the flooding in my city, Brisbane. I know several people who have lost everything. We will get through.
